If you can rent a toddler height table & chairs, the kids will love it. Or you could use some cardboard boxes. Just cover in craft paper and tape down with some bright duct tape.

Ours featured cardboard elephants (12 for $1 at Michael’s):

Washable paints & brushes:

Crayons:

Feathers, googly eyes, fuzzy balls, foam stickers, and various doo-dads for decorating your own creation, all stored in bright 99-cent store containers:

The little ones were entertained:

And when the elephants were decorated, we hung them from the ceiling on little wooden clothespins to dry. The kids loved showing off their elephants and taking them home at the end of the party!

I hope you give this a shot at your next party, it really was a wonderful way to entertain tots and grown-ups alike.

The elephants are adorable. For my daughter's upcoming birthday I was planning on hanging the children's coloring pages on string with clothespins as well. I've only been able to find the regular ones, where did you find the mini ones?

So fun! I love that the little guys have their own station to keep them occupied. So clever! 🙂 It is giving me more ideas. 🙂 Thanks!

WOW THIS IS THE BEST IDEA YOU COULD GIVE ME – I HAVE TO HOST A HALF DOZEN OF FIVE YEAR OLDS FROM THE KINDERGARDEN – WE HAVE TO DO *SOMETHING* WITH THEM. SOME PARENTS WILL BAKE CAKES, SOME WILL DO OTHER STUFF, BUT I AM THE SCRAPPER MOTHER SO I WILL HOST A PARTY LIKE YOURS. SEEMS SO YUMMI!
THANKS A LOT!
