You may remember in August our adorable Storyboek Whale Watch Schroom Fabric Friday Giveaway. Well, today Cynthia from Fabricworm and Birch Fabrics is back with the Storyboek Seahorses Sun fabric from Jay-Cyn Designs.

I love a humpback whale - one of those strange fascinations I can blame on watching The Voyage of the Mimi in science class. That being said, the tiny sea horse merited a little squeal!

I have a strange liking for lobsters (maybe it's because they taste so good). I love brightly coloured fish as well, their scales look so beautiful as they swim through the water.
Sea turtles -- my brother and I kayaked right over a big one when we were in Hawaii a few years ago. It was a good reward for me agreeing to kayak... I'm terrified of water so it was a big deal!
Melanocetus johnsoni... is one of my favorite sea creatures. You know that creepy fish that has a light attached to his head from Finding Nemo? Yup, that's the one :).

As others have mentioned, sea horses would be my favourite. But jelly fish are mesmerizing, and a tankful, as mentioned on another comment, would be an excellent relaxation tool!

I hope this isn't a duplicate entry, but mine seems to have disappeared into thin air...my favorite are sea anemone. I have always loved the way they look, and how they close around your finger if you touch their centers. Then I saw a beautiful sea anemone quilt at the Pacific Northwest Quilt Expo in Portland, and it renewed my love.

The most majestic sea creature that my husband and I have witnessed while scuba diving is the bat ray. You don't realize how mesmerizing they are until you see a school of them gliding along together!

I'm a manatee lover :) In high school I dated a guy who called me his Manatee - looking back, I'm really not sure what that meant but I don't blame the sea cow.

Dolphins- and I got to see a pod of them while on vacation this summer!
Here in Seattle we have the coolest sea anemone! They are so colorful and fluffy. Some of them disappear in the blink of an eye when they sense movement. So amazing!
I love starfish...sea stars...because even when they lose a part of themselves they do not die...
Its really hard to pick, but I would have to say sea otters. I can watch them all day!

My husband and I recently went whale watching for the first time... I'm officially hooked on whales.
Fave sea creatures are stingrays. They have neat small ones at the Georgia Aquarium.

I like jellyfish... Some can be really dangerous, but they are really amazing and surreal creatures to watch when we visit zoos or aquariums.
Prochlorococcus! What is that? It is the most abundant photosynthetic organism in the ocean. Basically it is a REALLY small algae that populates a very large part of the worlds oceans and it is what I work on every day. I like sea otters too ;)

Mermaids... those count don't they, even though they are imaginary? If it has to be a real one I'll go with manatees... often thought to be the inspiration behind mermaids. Those must have been some chunky lady loving sailors.
