Apple Fritters

Every single morning during my last month of pregnancy I ate an apple fritter on my way to work…alone in the car…licking my fingers after each bite.  Yes, I got really fat. Anyway.

I have been inspired to bring little S into the kitchen more by my friend Rebecca’s site Cooking With My Kid, so we made these homemade fritters together and are sharing the recipe here and over at Cooking With My Kid today.  These might give you a heart attack but the recipe is easy, quick, and your kids will be like “Mommy made donuts!  We love mommy!!!” If you don’t want to deep fry try some Apple Cream Cheese Muffins instead.  Get the full Apple Fritter Recipe after the jump…

oh man- I was on a total apple fritter kick durning my last pregnancy. This one I have been able to stave it off (though I have a few months to go and my will power could easily melt like ice as the summer heats up)

thanks for sharing these!

I made these last night with my 2yo and they were AWESOME! It is a very easy recipe to throw together and I love that it doesn't make a huge batch. Just the perfect size. Thank you for sharing.

BTW, I skipped the egg and added a bit more milk and applesauce…they were perfect!

Made these this morning in honor of my husband's day off. SO good!! But I think I got my oil too hot because near the end they were turning dark really fast but doughy in the middle. I guess I'll have to keep working at it to perfect them πŸ™‚ Thanks for the recipe!

A very nice formula.
I’ve seen some websites and blogs with a lot of annoying advertising, you yours sets a new standard for disgusting. I have to click-close some stupid ad with EVERY FRAME or EVERY PICTURE? I’ve got the formula for Apple Fritters, but this is so seriously annoying that I will not be back. Regardless of content, your site is just not worth the trouble.
